Machete weilding psycho/Runaway horses

This is two dreams, the first of which took place on 8/2/20.  In that dream, my girlfriend and I (same woman, still together) were walking up a steep residential street.  I casually glanced across the road and noticed one house had a horse's stable where a garage would normally be situated.  The stable itself contained one horse.  We carried on up the road and observed a group of around 4 or 5 black horses standing around.  At this point, I started to get worried as I have a mild phobia of horses (it stems back to seeing a cousin's shin get kicked in by a donkey as a kid, but that's another story).  Anyway, I told my partner that we should maybe start to head back the other way, so we did.  At that same time, the horses started galloping slowly towards us, which got me even more concerned, so we started running down the road to get away from them.

In the second dream, I was in the garden of the house I lived in (not my actual house, but my house in this particular dream).  For some reason, I was making a sandwich there and was standing by the fence putting it together, when I overheard a heated argument in the garden next door but one to my own.  There were about 3 people in that garden including a blonde guy in a red hoodie who was shouting and getting aggressive with the other people there.  I ignored them and carried on making my sandwich.

All of a sudden, the guy in the hoodie picks up a machete and starts waving it around.  The people in the garden with him start panicking and running away from him.  I then notice that there were actually more people in that garden than I first realised, and some of those people were jumping over the garden fences to get away from the machete guy.  Before long, some of those people were now in my garden with the machete guy in pursuit, so I ran back in the house to get away from them.  When I got to the back door, I turned to see who was behind me and saw a couple running in my direction with the machete guy a short distance behind them.  I tried to lock the door behind me, but it wouldn't lock for some reason, so I left it open and just ran in the house (I also decided it wasn't fair to leave the couple out there with that psycho anyway).

As I ran through the living room, I thought "This isn't good.  I don't want that guy in my house!" then figured I could just run out of the front door and into the street to escape him.  I then turned what I thought would be the door that leads to the hallway that adjoined the front door itself, only to find myself looking at an ascending staircase.  The area I was now in had a pastel pink carpet and white, glossed railings and bannisters.  It was also quiet.  Deathly quiet.  In spite of that, I decided to run up the staircase and found myself on the landing of this place.  I continued along the landing and through another door.  By now it was clear that I'd lost the psycho, but I had no idea where I was, or how to get back to where I came from, and every door I went through lead to either another corridor or another ascending staircase.

This last dream is something that's happened in a lot of my dreams over the past year (those I remember) where I go through doors and find myself in never-ending labyrinths instead of the place I was expecting.  Often in these scenarios, going back through the doors I entered takes me somewhere completely different, and I remain lost in a strange place until I wake up.
