Freedom

This follows on from the last dream.  In this one, I am in a college building similar to my old workplace, but it's time for lunch, so I set about finding something to eat.  The campus has several canteens; the one I want is the farthest away, but it has the best food, so I set off for it.

This in itself is a recurring scenario I've had in many dreams in the past.  Sometimes, I don't make it to the canteen in time and all the food has run out, other times, I do.  In this dream, I walked casually to the canteen, which involved walking down several long corridors as with the last dream.  In the back of my mind, I thought it would turn into another dream where I become lost and trapped in ever changing hallways, but this didn't happen.  What's more, in this dream, the same hallways were filled with people decorating them and fixing things up, which was new.  I carried on walking and descended a small flight of steps to a mezzanine floor.  To the left of me was the canteen, but straight ahead was the way out of the building, and I could see the sun shining from the outside.  I decided to forego the canteen and step outside, which I was able to do without any restrictions whatsoever. It was sunny and bright outside.

These dreams seems to be alluding to the fact that something has changed for the better, and I like that.

Escaping the labyrinth

This dream occurred the morning of the previous day (17/11/24), but I've only got round to posting it now.

I've been having recurring dreams for the last year or so where I'm in a large building, be it an office, school or college and at some point, I need to go to a specific room or area, but find myself getting lost.  Sometimes, I'll find myself seemingly going around in circles trying to find the room or I'll turn corners and open doors to find that the corridors keep changing. I usually wake from those dreams feeling frustrated and left with the lingering impression that something was left unresolved. But not this time.

In this particular dream, I was in a college building (essentially a much larger version of my old workplace) and at some point, I needed to find a particular room.  I ended up going walking through doors that looped back to where I started and found myself lost again.  At one point, I decided to climb out of a window which dropped me down to the ground floor (I was able to float down without hurting myself).  When I got there, I looked one way up the corridor and saw a group of lads. I thought about going that way to get to my destination but felt compelled to look the other way first, which is when I saw the exit to the building.  I then decided I'd be better of getting out instead, so that's what I tried to do.

I say tried, because as I walked to the exit, I felt a force trying to repel me, but I fought against it and eventually pushed through the doors leading into the building and got outside. I looked around and continued running, then eventually floating, thinking to myself "I did it! I finally escaped!".

I don't know what this all alludes to yet, but it feels significant.

Uni woes, radio chatter and an affair

I had three dreams that stood out, all this morning.

In the first, I was back at university, but was staying at a hotel rather than a student house or halls of residence.  I had a lecture that morning and got up early.  I started walking to uni then realised I was still wearing my bedclothes so I started to head back.  Even though I'd only walked a short distance, it was now midday, which now meant I'd missed my lecture, which was at 9. I was dismayed as this was my second day of missing lectures and I was starting to worry about falling behind.

As I tried to head back, I ended up getting lost and found myself in the city centre (the city I was in resembled London with its high rise buildings). I retraced my steps (which took me through the middle of a hair salon) and the dream ended as I was walking back to my hotel.

I occasionally have dreams where I'm back at uni and falling behind in my course or missing lectures and, like this dream, they always leave me feeling unsettled.

In the second dream, I was talking to a friend whose recently started a radio station and invited me to do a show. I was just asking him about the format and setup as we sat on a bus.  As he was talking, I realised my show was to start in 10 minutes an I was almost late, but just made it in time.

In the third dream, I was having an affair with my neighbour's teenage daughter (she's 17 IRL but was 18/19 in this dream). We stood on the doorstep of our homes, planning our next clandestine meeting.  I don't know where that came from. And no, I haven't been thinking about her in that way.

Revenge/Guilty passion

The first of these two dreams happened the night before (16th).  I was on a high-rise council estate looking at something on my phone.  I then noticed a group of kids (around 12-13) staring at me and realised they wanted my phone.  The kids started to close in on me so I manoeuvred myself to attack, making a motion akin to the "hadouken" move from the Street Fighter games (Google it).  As I did that, the kids backed away. Unfortunately, someone who was a bit older came up from behind and was able to prevent me from making my move. It was then that I realised I was dreaming and tried to wake myself up.  I managed to almost do it, but felt something dragging me back into the dream. Fortunately, I was able to wake up again briefly.

A few minutes later, I fell back to sleep and the dream continued, only this time, I was seeking revenge on my attackers.  I visited each of them at their homes, knocked on their doors, and when they answered, I launched an attack on them. I was able to take down all of them this way.

The second dream happened last night, and in it, I was kissing a female YouTuber I follow whom I was simply refer to as J.  The dream felt very realistic, and our kissing was passionate and sensual.  I eventually lay her down and started telling her she was sexy and that I wanted her.  As things started to get more heated, she suddenly stood up and said she couldn't do it because it was wrong. She quickly left after that.

Yangudkanst

I don't recall if I've mentioned this on here or not, but one of the recurring dreams I sometimes get is where I am flying over a unknown place and after a while, I'll land and start trying to talk to people.  Oftentimes (but not always) people will either not be very friendly or will look at me strangely when I ask them where I am (I suppose if someone approached me in the street and asked that question, I'd look at them strangely too).

Anyway, in this dream, I started off flying over a house in the middle of a field where there was a woman chained outside of it like someone would a dog.  She looked distressed, and as I approached, she told me she didn't have the money, thinking I was somebody who was after her in that way. I remember saying that I wasn't there for that and was just passing.  I continued flying, passing over some strange monuments made of vertical plinths arranged in circles.

Later, I landed on a street and tried talking to passers by. As is often the case, they looked at me strangely when I tried to ask them about where I was.  At one point, I spoke to two men and tried explaining that I was not from there, and that I'd in fact come from another world entirely. I said something like "I'm from a planet we call earth that's very similar to yours. The people there look like you too". They looked at me incredulously and started laughing.  As one of them did this, I noticed that he had some extra teeth in the back of his mouth, which alerted me to one physiological difference this race of humans had that was different from us. After a while, they seemed convinced that I wasn't crazy and we carried on talking. In the course of the conversation, I asked them to tell me the name of the country I was in, to which Iwas told that we were in "Yangudkanst". I also asked for their names, and the one I was speaking to directly said his name was "Noddy Kennels". His friend then told me that his actual name was "Noddy Kent" and that his own name was "Yan". He then shook my hand and I woke up.

As crazy as it sounds, whenever I have these dreams, I have a real sense that I am actually in another world or on another planet, and I am flying across it as though its a real place.  I have often passed by areas that I've visited previously in other dreams.  Earlier this week, I read an article about an earth-like planet in our solar system (Kepler-22B) which got me wondering if these earth-like planets also have their own human-like beings (whom would invariably differ from us in small ways, much like the people in this dream).

Pierced off

In this dream, I was in a library which was inside a converted cathedral.  I sat on the top floor at a table and from my vantage point, I saw a guy I work with (whom I will call P) entering the library with a pile of books.  I was surprised to see him.

As I went to leave, I spoke to P who told me he could fix the piercing in my left hand.  As it happens I had a stud in my left hand (similar to the studs people put in their tongues), but it needed to be cleaned out, and he said he could do it for me.  He started by taking removing the stud from my hand, causing clear pus-like fluid to drain out (and there was a lot of it too). After cleaning it, he said it needed to be replaced with a new stud, but my hand would need to be anaethetised. I was reluctant to do this however because I had to drive home.  The dream ended as I was explaining this to him.

The unusual thing about this dream (other than the fact that I don't care for piercings at all IRL), was the weird tingling sensation I had in the palm of my left hand when I woke up.
